The Common School Fund is critical to quality school libraries in Wisconsin. WEMTA will make members aware of new legislation or rules that may affect the Common School Fund and its distribution. According to our 2020 Member Survey, 92% of respondents rely solely on the CSF to fund their school libraries.
For information concerning Common School Fund purchases, please visit the Department of Public Instruction's site for the most recent and accurate information. Recent additions to this site include WUFAR codes and new definitions relating to MakerSpace materials in the library.
If you have questions about the CSF and what can be purchased, please contact DPI staff members on the Libraries and Technology Team. They can offer the most qualified answers for CSF purchases.
